Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I took a blood test yesterday, and my hCG value is 2084 IU/L. I had a miscarriage seven months ago and had periods in the middle of the last month. How many weeks am I pregnant? I am attaching my reports. Kindly review.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your history and the attached reports (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) and understand your concern. Usually, the beta hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) value varies from person to person. From your last menstrual cycle, it is four or five weeks. Your beta hCG levels are around four weeks of pregnancy. You can get an ultrasound done to check fetal well-being and the exact weeks of pregnancy. I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I want to know if my hCG 2,084.9 IU/L value is normal for five weeks.

Answered by Dr. Richa Agarwal

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The normal beta hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) level at five weeks of pregnancy is around 200 to 7100 IU/L. In your case, it is 2084 IU/L, which is a good value. Beta hCG is not the deciding factor in fetal well-being. Do not stress about it, as you had a previous miscarriage start taking folic acid and progesterone tablets to support pregnancy. Get an ultrasound done to check for fetal well-being. I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
