Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 18 years old. Currently, I am taking Viorele 28 day birth control. I mixed up my third week's pills. I had the Saturday's pill on Friday and Friday's pill on Saturday. I had unprotected sex last night, and I was wondering if I should take Plan B today. The pill which I had earlier was white G pill, and the other one was white C1 pill. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There is no apparent need to be worried or to take a Plan B (emergency contraception) simply because Viorele 28 is a 26 active pill and 2 placebo pill pack. So, you have interchanged active pills, which have the same hormonal content. As you have taken them on time, it does not matter. The days that have been mentioned on the pack are for the ease of the user to remember. You do not worry at all. You are completely protected from pregnancy and Plan B is not required. Just continue the pack hence and complete it.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
