Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 21-year-old male; I am 5'8 tall and overweight. I have had 10 consecutive days of nosebleed, sometimes with chest pain. I have not consulted a doctor yet. What could be the reason?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query in detail and understand it.

1)The most common reason for persistent nosebleeds with chest pain is hypertension (increased blood pressure) which can lead to issues in the heart. However, considering your age, hypertension seems less likely, though it can still be young-onset hypertension that happens in younger individuals. I suggest you get your BP (blood pressure) checked immediately.

2)There are also other possibilities like coagulopathy (a bleeding disorder in which the ability of blood to clot is impaired), trauma or injury in the nose, vessel bleed (due to broken blood vessels such as veins or arteries), etc.

Kindly revert with your current blood pressure level and add more details on any recent trauma or injury in that area so that I can diagnose your condition better.

I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
