Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I experienced bleeding from the upper palate. I wanted to know the reason behind this bleeding.

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. I wanted to know if you have any pain or discomfort. Kindly elaborate on your symptoms. For example, did you bite anything hard or suddenly notice bleeding from the palate? Do you have any medical issues like hypertension, thyroid, or diabetes?

Patient's Query

Thank you for the reply doctor,

I do not have any pain; only bleeding is there. I am attaching the images and need a prescription for the same.

Hello, Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I just saw the image now (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). The bleeding looks extensive. Please consult a maxillofacial surgeon or dentist at the earliest. The Dentogel (Choline salicylate and Lidocaine) application or icepacks are for slight bleeding; such severe bleeding can be life-threatening. So please hurry up to your dentist and get it checked without delay. As all your teeth are decayed and full of calculus deposits, poor oral hygiene can also cause potential oral cavity lesions. So please visit the dentist without fail at the earliest. I would be able to prescribe for such issues only after post physical check and knowing about your medical history. So I would advise you kindly go to the dentist for a check-up.

Patient's Query

Thank you for the reply doctor,

Is any other report required, and is it curable?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, it is curable. Do not worry. For now, have something cold like plain ice cream (without any nuts) to arrest bleeding, and please go for a checkup immediately. The bleeding looks extensive, and leaving it for even a few hours is not good. The dentist will ask for your medical history and determine the possible causes of bleeding. Unfortunately, I cannot make out much from the picture (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity) because the exact location of the bleeding is not visible clearly. Either way, this requires physical examination and treatment immediately.

Patient's Query

Thank you for the reply doctor.

I will consult my dentist.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Do not worry and go for an immediate checkup.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
