Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am in a lot of discomfort right now. I need some help with my issue. I noticed that when I push my stomach outwards, it appears tight. I am unable to relax my stomach. I have a stomach ache when I try to relax my stomach. I struggle to relax my stomach. I do not feel good pushing it out and letting it stay like that. So when I push out my stomach, I have pain. Normally after a meal, I would push out my stomach, but I feel a sharp ache below my rib cage. Sometimes I feel weak. I do not drink milk. It happens every day. I do not know what causes the discomfort after I eat underneath and in between my rib cage. I want to push out and relax my stomach and feel no reaction. Sometimes the ache gets bad. What is the matter? Is my stomach bloated? I am taking medications, but please help me get rid of this pain and bloating.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have reviewed your case history and attached files (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). Your issues are related to your stomach, which you have explained in detail. In addition, you had post-nasal dripping and some issues related to anxiety as well. I have reviewed your medication history as well. You mentioned that H.pylori (Helicobacter pylori) and other tests were normal. Have you ever considered upper GI (gastrointestinal) endoscopy as well? Your stomach is sensitive, so you might have gastritis. I suggest you do the following:

  1. I suggest you take a soft and home-cooked diet.
  2. I suggest you continue taking your medications like Lanzap (Lansoprazole) and Nugel-O suspension (Alginic Acid, Aluminium Hydroxide, and Magnesium Trisilicate).Consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent.
  3. Do not sit or lie down after meals.
  4. Walk for 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Monitor your body weight.
  6. I suggest you take some anti-anxiety medications.

I assumed you had done the ultrasound abdomen and other workups I mentioned earlier. For persistent non-resolving symptoms, you will need an endoscopic examination.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
