Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am currently taking Somapraz IT (before meals) and Relcer (after meals). The Relcer is not helping with the bloating I feel an increased pressure in my stomach, and I can not pass out the air. I was able to change to Ulgicid from Relcer, but after taking it after a meal, I feel it has increased my acidity. I was also given the option of getting Motilium and Nealgyl. But I have bought these as I am scared and do not know what to do. I have done an endoscopy, and my results were normal. Do I go back to the Relcer and hope it will work on the gas?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Although your endoscopy was normal, you might be having small ulcers. If a change of tablets is not working, you need lifestyle modification. Avoid spicy foods and tea, coffee beverages, and carbonated bottled drinks. Also, avoid alcohol intake, smoking habits, stress, and strain. It is necessary to take good sleeping, high fiber diet, green leafy vegetables, and fruits. There should be a minimum of two hours gap between food and sleeping. Avoid analgesic medications. I suggest taking some anxiety drugs in the nighttime.

I will review your reply soon for the prescription of drugs and better treatment advice.
