Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My father has several blood deficiencies and liver problems. I have some of his previous blood reports. I suspect he is suffering from liver disease. He cannot move due to knee problems and heavy body weight.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query

I understand your concern. Your CBC (complete blood count) report shows (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity) a low hemoglobin level and low platelet count. Low platelet count can develop in chronic liver disease. You have to do blood work to rule out the underlying liver problem. I suggest you follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Get ultrasonography of the abdomen, Hbsag ELISA, HCV antibody ELISA testing, and HAV and HEV antibody ELISA (enzyme linked immunosorbent assay) testing done.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
