Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 48-year-old male. My height is 5 feet 3 inches, and my weight is 62 kg. For the past 24 hours, I have blood leakage before passing stools. It has happened five times. And I do not have pain or stomach ache during this. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query. The passing of blood in stools could mean a couple of things. However, since I do not have a complete history, I can give you general guidelines. I would suggest you meet a surgeon immediately. One of the possibilities is that you have developed an anal fissure or have had hemorrhoids that are bleeding. Another alternative is that you have a bleeding disorder, and therefore you are bleeding. The cause of bleeding will have to be found out. But that will take extensive and planned testing, which is best done in a hospital. In case there is a delay, I would suggest getting the following tests,

  1. Complete hemogram.
  2. Liver function tests.
  3. Kidney function tests.
  4. Prothrombin time and international normalized ratio.
  5. Ultrasonography of the abdomen.

I would strongly recommend visiting a hospital immediately. I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above so I can be of help further—best of luck. I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my response to you. Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
