Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had an angioplasty. Now I am taking Nebicard SM and Rosuvagold 20 one each daily. And I am also taking ginger, lemon, honey, and apple cider vineger solution two teaspoons daily and giloy daily. I am observing that my BP is fluctuating. What should I do?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

BP (blood pressure) and pulse are not constant parameters and are ever-changing. So it is entirely normal for them to show variations. We just have to watch that they are not crossing their limits.

For systolic BP, 110 to 140 and for diastolic BP 60 to 90 is fine. And the resting pulse rate between 50 to 90 is appropriate for you. So, readings anywhere in between are fine. Also, BP fluctuations nowadays are more commonly seen due to the use of electronic BP apparatus, which are over-sensitive and cause variations. If you are using an electronic BP apparatus, then you should take three readings at a time with arm resting on the table and completely relaxed. And two matching readings are approximate BP of yours.

However, if most of the BP readings are above or below this range then needs dose change, so let me know the details of your readings. You should make a chart of it by taking readings frequently, say three times a day (and each time three readings to know the average) for a week period.

I hope this helps you.
