Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am not able to stop my sugar level from increasing. Last three HbA1c results are 7.0 %, 7.1 % and 7.4 % with the latest test. My work routine is sedimentary and as I have tracked the high carbohydrate diet which I am not able to change this much even after trying hard. For the last two years, I am taking 0.5 tablets of Gluconorm VG2 twice a day and one tablet of Telesta 40 once a day. Please suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I always tell my patients that diabetes is not a disease as long as it is under control. When it is not under control, it leads to disease (complications) in the long run. It is extremely important to keep your sugar level under control at all times. How you choose to do it is entirely up to you. Nothing is impossible. Dietary changes are not very difficult if you make up your mind and take control of your life. Regular physical exercise also helps to a great extent. However, if you think you cannot make any changes to diet and lifestyle, the only way to get your sugar level under control would be to increase the dosage of your medication. Gluconorm-VG2 is prescribed for diabetes, but Telesta 40 is for high blood pressure. Please talk to your treating physician about changing the dosage of your medication, it needs to be done under proper supervision, and it seems to be necessary considering your current laboratory parameters. However, I insist that lifestyle modification is something that can help you a great deal to improve your health status.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
