Are my high cholestrol levels the cause of my abdominal pain?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been eating a lot of snacks like chips and fried stuff for the past six months. I underwent a blood test after I had abdominal pain and got the following results:

  1. Total cholesterol - 285 mg per dl.
  2. LDL (low-density lipoprotein) - 196 mg per dl.
  3. GGT (gamma-glutamyl transferase) - 131 U per L.
  4. SGOT (serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase) - 65 U per L.
  5. SGPT (serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase) - 154 U per L.

What do the above results mean?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your cholesterol levels are high, and they are also causing liver injury. Are you drinking alcohol? I suggest you avoid oily things, reduce carbohydrate intake and go for walks regularly.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

I am not drinking alcohol. How can I reduce these levels?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

These levels can be reduced. I suggest you change your lifestyle and take the capsule Evion (Vitamin E) 400 mg twice daily for one month.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
