Hello doctor,

I would like to know if functional alterations at the brain frequency can be caused by waves (of various nature) with military technology and can be detected by psychiatric and/or neurological diagnostic tests? Finally, I would like to know if causing an increase in the gamma waves of the brain and placing the individual in an environment with a completely dissonant frequency due to the absence of stimuli and contacts increases the inflammatory response of the nervous system? Thank you.

Waves used in radiation waves, as used in radiotherapy (gamma rays included), kill cancer cells in a tumor inside the body. But these waves can cause damage to surrounding normal body parts, too, particularly if given in high doses.

They can cause brain tissue inflammation or edema, or necrosis in the brain. If uncontrolled long-term exposure occurs, it can also cause tumor formation or mutation in cells. Such effects can be acute (immediately), subacute ( in a few weeks), or chronic (in a few years).

Brain MRI (magnetic resonance), including some specific sequences and PET (positron emission tomography) or SPECT (single-photon emission computerized tomography) studies, can detect some effects of radiation injury. Still, all changes like mutations are challenging to detect. And usually, these are done if the patient gets some symptoms after radiation exposure.

I want to explain the question better. I did not refer to radiations.

I would like to know if the different frequencies characterizing brain waves (5 types, from the lowest type of the mystical and rest phases to the gamma ones, that is, the highest ones characterized by a remarkable neuronal speed) can be modified (with respect to the genetic, environmental characteristics, life etcetera) through pharmacological tools and toxicological and narcotic substances and also through military technology that emits particular electromagnetic frequencies?

Also, I would like to know if a person who has very high-frequency gamma waves of the was moved in a day to a desert without anyone could have an inflammatory type crisis both of angry reactions and environmental dystonia (and different related frequencies)?

Your query is very vague. Brain waves can be recorded by a medical test named Electroencephalography, which is commonly used to evaluate epilepsy patients. Gamma waves (high-frequency waves up to 40 Hz) have been used recently after using digital EEG(electroencephalogram) machines. But still, in clinical practice, waves up to beta waves (frequency up to 18 Hz) are used. Brain waves are affected by pharmacological agents, medicines, toxic drugs, and narcotics. But modification of these waves for some particular beneficial effect is still a research tool. TMS (Trans magnetic stimulation is being used for some psychiatric illnesses, which helps modify chemical neurotransmitter imbalance in the brain, but its definite correlation with brain waves is still research too.
