Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Three months back, I had CyberKnife surgery for a brain tumor. Today, I had my MRI again. I want to know the report. Please explain.

Answered by Dr. Uphar Gupta

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. The MRI brain indicates that the mass is exerting pressure on the fifth cranial nerve, responsible for transmitting sensations from the face to the brain. Encouragingly, the vital cavernous sinus remains uncompressed, indicating that the mass can be surgically removed. Kindly share the complete image and report for a comprehensive consultation. Wishing you good health ahead.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have attached the entire report. 1 and 2 were before tumor treatment and 3 and 4 are after surgery. Please compare and tell me in detail about the improvement. Also, please inform whether the tumor is reduced or not. Thank you for your time.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. The second scan (attachment removed to ensure privacy) indicates that despite the initial removal of the mass, there is still a residual portion that is exerting pressure on the trigeminal nerve, or the fifth cranial nerve. Consequently, it's necessary to perform a resection of the remaining tumor. However, in the interim, you should initiate medication to alleviate the pressure. I recommend taking tablet Wysolone 40 mg (Prednisolone) once in the morning and syrup Glycerol 15 mL three times daily. It's crucial to consult your surgeon again, have a discussion about these medications, and take them with their approval.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
