Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 28-year-old female, and I have a two-year-old kid. I felt a small lump in my right breast after I stopped breastfeeding. I have had this problem for five months. Now the lump has grown, it is hard, painless, and moveable. I have inserted Copper- T two years back. I am facing hormone problems too. Is my breast lump due to hormone problems? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Usually, the lump in the breast can be associated with a hormonal issue or other reasons like trauma or infection. I suggest you:

1) An ultrasound examination of the breast that has the lump.

2) Also a physical examination by a general surgeon. If needed, he might suggest a biopsy of the same.

As breast anomalies are hereditary in nature, a detailed medical history and family history are also needed. So get it checked by a doctor in person. Depending on physical examination and ultrasound results, the doctor will be able to guide you further with appropriate management.

I hope this helps.

Feel free to contact me for any further queries in the future.
