Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 48 years old. I have some skin bulging out at the top of the thigh. I have attached an image. There is no pain, but I have discomfort sometimes. I have had this problem for the past year. Should I be concerned about it? Can it be a sign of cancer or other diseases?

Hello,

I have reviewed your case and images (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity).

In my opinion, this is a matter of great concern. I suggest you to visit a surgeon rather than a dermatologist because this nodule will be excised and sent for a biopsy. After the biopsy, we can comment on whether it is cancerous. However, in my opinion, it does not look like a benign condition on clinical examination.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

I am very nervous. I am consulting a skin surgeon. Can you confirm? I will try to take an appointment and visit today.
