Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from acne. There are many small red bumps on my face. I have combination skin, but now my skin is extremely dry. The bumps are itchy. Also, I do have hypothyroidism issues. I do drink a lot of water, but nothing helps.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. It looks like you have been using too many remedies for your acne. As a result, you have frequent exacerbations, which could be due to stress, periods, or cosmetics. I suggest you to follow a few things mentioned below.

  1. Use Neutrogena anti-acne face wash.
  2. Take tablet Doxycycline 100 mg daily.
  3. Apply Clinagel gel twice daily on every red lesion or pus-containing pimple.
  4. If you feel dryness even then, do not apply any moisturizer directly.
  5. First, apply vaseline lotion on your hand and gently tap on your face. If you use excessive moisturizer to overcome your dryness, your acne will increase.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
