Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

A pimple appeared on the genitals. It hurts when I touch and white on the top. And I think it is not small in size. Could you advise me if it is serious or just a random pimple?

Hi

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your query, I need a few more details. Have you had any recent sexual encounter? Do you have any swelling or pain in your groin region? From the picture that you have sent, it does appear to be a hair follicle infection, but I would suggest you get yourself examined once by your local urologist or dermatologist for confirmation. You may require some oral antibiotics if there is significant local inflammation.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Yes, I had sex six days ago. It was my second time with that girl. I met her for the first time two weeks ago. When I touch the pimple, it has pain but no swelling.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your query, it is usually unlikely for an STD (sexually transmitted disease) to develop within six days. The lesion does look like a hair follicle infection which usually resolves by itself but sometimes may require some short duration of antibiotics. I would still suggest you get it checked out by a professional.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
