Can hard and non-tender bumps appear in the penis due to frequent masturbation?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I noticed a small bump on my penis, the same color as my skin on the lower end of the shaft and not where the glans penis is. And, I am very concerned about it. It is hard when I touch it, but there is no pain. It may be because of masturbation. I have frequently been masturbating at least once or twice a day. I try not to masturbate, but I cannot stop, and I think I am addicted. If I do not masturbate for a few days, I feel something is wrong with me. Do you have any tips to stop masturbating? I did some research and found the bump could be a lymphocele. Or could it be cancerous?

Please suggest me a solution to remove this bump.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

Masturbation is normal, and 95 percent of males do it. It is just another way of having sex without a partner. It is a good practice. Also, I have mentioned a few benefits of it below,

1. It helps relieve stress.

2. Boosts mood.

3. Improves sleep.

4. Helps prevent depression and anxiety.

5. Relaxes the mind.

6. Relieves pain and muscle cramps.

7. Relieves sexual anxiety.

8. Improves self-confidence.

9. Allows one to have better sex.

10. Helps the person understand his needs and desires.

11. In females, masturbation increases vaginal blood flow.

However, masturbation will not harm your penis while doing it two or three times a week. But, more than that can cause tiredness, loss of concentration, and a sense of infertility. In addition, I have mentioned a few ways to reduce masturbation below, and I suggest you to follow them.

1. Kindly get appropriate sex education.

2. Improve physical activity by exercising regularly.

3. Improve your sleep cycle.

4. Have a healthy and balanced diet.

5. Utilize your leisure time effectively.

6. Find ways to develop spirituality.

7. Take a cold shower.

8. Take an Astymin Forte (multivitamins) capsule for tiredness or weakness once in the morning.

9. Take Shelcal (calcium and vitamin D3 supplement) one tablet at night after food for 30 days.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them and take the medications with their consent.

Kindly share the picture of the bump for further diagnosis.

Take care.
