Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 34 years old and have bumps on the head of my penis, which irritate the foreskin. These bumps disappeared the last week but reappeared yesterday.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. From the attached images (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity), it looks like candidal balanoposthitis, which is a kind of superficial fungal infection. It presents as superficial, fragile pustules that rupture to form red bumps or superficial bright erythema. It is not considered a sexually transmitted condition, as it can happen without sexual contact too. Yet I suggest you take the tablet Fluconazole. This condition is also more common in diabetics, so please get your blood sugar levels checked. In addition, I suggest you take the following medications (consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent). Take Tablet AF-150 (Fluconazole) once per week for two weeks. Take Tablet Levosiz (Levocetirizine) 5 mg once a day. Use Candid (Clotrimazole) cream must be applied twice a day.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
