Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a pellet-size ball on the shaft of the penis. No pain and I can only feel it only when I have an erection. I have this for the past five days. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

That ball is mostly sebaceous cyst, it is a collection of sebum in the hair follicle and it is painless unless it has inflammation. I would really appreciate if you send me a picture so I can figure out better. If it is in the skin and becomes more prominent with erection usually it might resolve but sometimes if it increase in size or even get inflamed then it needs antibiotics. But at the moment no need for antibiotics. Size matters therefore if you send me a picture I can advise better as to decide between conservative treatment (leave it to heal on its own) or surgical excision under local anesthesia.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

It does not hurt. I have had a pimple or ingrown hair there for some time and it hurt when I shave. I do not know if this is relevant, but I did some hanging exercise and that particular area had a bump. It went away but now I have a pellet size ball.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Alright, I got it now. This is nothing to worry about just leave it as it is. No need for any treatment it might reduce but if stayed the same even no issue.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
