Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a small red bump-like pimple on the penis head. It has been there for a week now and it is not going away.

I think I got it after masturbating thrice continuously. There is no pain or itchiness.

Sometimes it looks like it is getting dried but after a shower, it becomes red again.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The pimple or bump you are having could be due to friction and mild infection. If you can upload a picture then that would help in making an accurate diagnosis.

Is there any history of high-risk unprotected sexual intercourse or any discharge from the penis?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for your response.

I had a similar problem around three years back but since then there has been no issues and no unprotected sex.

I was in a relationship with my ex-fiancé at that time, who was healthy.

Doctor, I smoke very frequently and I am a regular drinker.

When last time I had this issue, I had consulted my dermatologist who had mentioned that it was a fungal infection and I was prescribed an ointment and the tablet AF 400 (Fluconazole) once a day, and I was cured.

Sometimes, when I do not masturbate for a couple of weeks, the skin becomes moist.

There has not been any unprotected sex with anyone in the last three to four years.

I use a moisturizing bath soap too.

I am attaching a picture here.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I do not find anything significant in this picture (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity).

The tiny lesion near the tip could be due to mild infection or friction.

Avoid using hard soaps at the affected part.

Just keep the area dry and avoid wearing tight underwear.

This will solve the problem.

If there is itching on the penis tip and on other areas of the body then that could be due to scabies. This should be treated properly after evaluation.

Thanks.
