Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My work requires me to be on my feet. After working for fourteen hours on two consecutive days, the skin on my left foot feels like it is raw. What could be causing it to feel like this?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It sometimes happens when we unknowingly put undue pressure on our feet, but it cannot be avoided as we are bipedal. But make sure to give rest frequently on your feet.

Take rest and sit down every half an hour for at least 10 minutes.

Do some foot massage when free.

Do hydrotherapy foot exercises like ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexion in warm water.

Stand on your toes and tighten the calf muscles.

Apply moisturizer regularly and keep it clean.

Stretch the dorsum of the foot for proper circulation.
