Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I feel irritation around my penis foreskin. There is a weird odor, and white fluid comes on the penis head after some time. I feel slight pain while having erections. I also have a burning sensation while urinating, and the urge to urinate has increased. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Please share a picture of the affected area for a better picture. If there was unprotected sex, one needs to think of sexually transmitted infection.

I suggest you the following tests:

  • TPHA (treponema pallidum hemagglutination)
  • HPV DNA PCR test (HPV (human papillomavirus) DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) PCR (polymerase chain reaction)).
  • Herpes simplex virus 1 and 2 IgG (immunoglobulin G).
  • Serum herpes simplex virus 1 and 2 IgM (immunoglobulin M).
  • Chlamydia trachomatis IgG.
  • HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) one and two antibodies, screening test.
  • HBsAg (hepatitis B surface antigen).
  • Urine complete.

If not, it can be a simple bacterial infection. You can use ointment T-Bact (Mupirocin) for local application and Doxy (Doxycycline and Lactobacillus) 100 mg twice a day for five days. If there is itching, you need to think of a fungal infection. I suggest you use ointment Candid B for local application, and for itching take the tablet Cetzin (Cetrizine) once a night. Make sure you wash your genitalia twice a day, in the morning and night. Use normal water, no cold or hot water. Do not use soaps with a heavy pH.

Hope this helps.

Regards.
