Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been getting a burning feeling in the back of my head for the last two weeks. It goes away as fast as it comes. But, when it happens, it is like, ouch, what was that? It just started, and it is getting worried because I have never had it before.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Any burning sensation in the body is caused due to nerve involvement. The nerve supplying to the back of the head is getting irritated or compressed somewhere in its course and causing you that sensation. Low levels of vitamin B12 in the body cause nerve irritations, and cervical problems cause nerve compression, called cervical neuropathy. To provide you with the best advice, I will need more details from your side. Kindly reply with an answer to these details :

  1. Do you had any injuries recently or in the past?
  2. Does the burning sensation start when you bend your head forwards or backward or move your head and neck?
  3. Is there any pain, tingling, burning, or numbness in your right or left arm?
  4. Do you feel any dizziness?
  5. Is there any weakness that you feel in your arms?

I am awaiting your response.

Thank you.
