Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had an issue with my vagina for the last two days. I am newly married and I have a burning sensation and bleeding in my vagina. What should I do? Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There are several potential causes of these symptoms, including vaginal infection such as bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection, or sexually transmitted infection (STI) can cause symptoms like burning, itching, and discharge. Vaginal dryness can occur due to hormonal changes, certain medications, or inadequate foreplay during sexual activity. This can cause discomfort and sometimes bleeding. Vaginal trauma such as rough sexual activity or injury can cause discomfort and bleeding. It is important to see a gynecologist to determine the cause of your symptoms and receive appropriate treatment. They may perform a physical exam and possibly some tests to diagnose the problem. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause but may include medications, such as antibiotics or antifungal creams, or other interventions to address the issue.

Thank you.
