Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a mild burning sensation at the tip of my penis. It has been a few months since the burning started; that stays during the daytime but does not seem to cure. Swelling appears at the tip of the penis, and sometimes it disappears. The foreskin also sticks with the glans, but it retracts easily. A small bump (pimple) appears at the tip of the penis, which is not cured. I had unprotected sex with my partner for the first time, but she is fine and has no discomfort. I underwent a urine culture test, blood sugar test, VDRL, and HIV 1 and 2 tests in which all the reports are normal. After three months, my blood report showed bacterial infection and jaundice. I have tried many antibiotics and T-Bact cream, but it does not cure. Is it penile cancer? I have attached a few pictures. Kindly help me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I saw the pictures that you have attached (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity); there is no lesion as of now. You can send the photos when active lesions are present. I suggest you:

1. Wear loose cotton inner wears having adequate ventilation.

2. Do not overclean or wash the area too frequently or use harsh soaps.

3. Wash with warm water twice daily.

4. Avoid friction or irritation.

5. Drink plenty of water and fluids.

I hope you do not have diabetes or any fungal infections in other body sites. As all your sexually transmitted disease tests results are normal as per description I suggest you take treatment for the bacterial infection that you have mentioned.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Can you suggest to me a test to know about the glans inflammation? Is it penis cancer?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

There is no lesion to suggest penile cancer in your scenario. I suggest you not worry about it. You are simply getting too anxious.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
