Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had a sinus infection; before which, I had a viral infection. My doctor is saying that I have a Candida infection. I want to get rid of it. Kindly help.

Answered by Dr. Arpit Varshney

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Candida and viral infections can be treated easily within seven days. There is nothing to worry about. But the main concern is the root cause as to why you are developing uncommon recurrent infections, which must be found out. Until and unless we do not find that, you may get recurrent infections. So, I suggest you get a thyroid profile, complete blood count, human immunodeficiency virus, and serum cortisol tests. It will help us find the cause and treat it. I suggest you tablet Fluconazole 150 mg once a day for five days.

Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.
