Patient's Query

Hello,

I have some skin problems in my leg, inner thighs, some areas in my penis, and scrotum. I have had this issue for more than six months. The skin is soft, white, and peeling in the inner thigh area. When the skin is dry, it seems like white fungus. On the penis, some place has peeled skin of white color. When it dries, this white color turns into black color skin. Similar changes are present in the scrotum too. I have attached the pictures. Please help, doctor.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. I went through your history and photos (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). In my opinion, it can be inverse psoriasis, tinea cruris, candidiasis. I need a few more details to provide a definitive diagnosis and treatment, so please answer these questions. Do you have itching on this rash? Itching is mild or severe? Does itching increase in hot weather or on sweating? Is it spreading, or is it the same for six months? Do you have such rash anywhere else on your body? Do you have any dandruff on your scalp? Do anyone else in the family has a similar issue? Kindly revert with the answers so I can help you in a better way. Thanks and regards.

Patient's Query

Thank you, doctor, for your reply,

I do not have itching, but sometimes a little itching occurs on the thigh. This is not spreading to other body parts. It is present in the inner thigh and penis only. Its spread increases and decreases only in these parts. It got my attention when I noticed this white color turning black. I had dandruff, but after using shampoo, it has gone. Sometimes I had itching on my hand and got wounds, but I used a cream that helped me get rid of it. Other family members do not have this kind of problem. Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Thank you for your answers. In my opinion, it is a fungal infection known as candidiasis. It occurs due to increased sweating and heat. I suggest you the following. You can apply Candid Gold Cream (Clotrimazole) daily at night for three weeks. Take Tablet Bilastine 20 mg one tablet daily at night for 14 days. Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
