Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had mild penis pain below the glans. The doctor checked and informed minimal balanoposthitis. I took Microdox 100 for 15 days, Zocon for seven days, Gabapentin for 15 days. There was a relief. He asked me to apply Onabet cream for 15 days. When I apply Onabet cream it relieves me but if I skip it I start feeling pain in the same area.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your concern is balanoposthitis by your description. It is due to a candidial yeast infection. Which will flare according to our immunity. It is not contagious and not harmful. Get your fasting and postprandial blood sugar and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) levels done in any standard diagnostic center nearby you and take appropriate action after the report. Avoid stress. Continue Onabet (Sertaconazole) cream twice daily after washing with Cetaphil cleanser for 30 days. Do not use soap for washing the genital area. This will help you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

Due to a testicle infection, I am on Zanocin 400 mg for the past ten days. I also took Kineto D for five days. I can see white patches on the glans after pulling the foreskin back. I have stopped Onabet for a few days. Are white patches because of the antibiotic Ofloxacin?

Please suggest.

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

Please find the attachments below.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

White patches on the picture (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) may be either candidal yeast infection or dry mucus membrane. You can try Aloclin gel (Clindamycin and Nicotinamide) with Lulifin (Luliconozole) cream for a couple of weeks. Nothing to worry about.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

I am washing it with Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser only.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Continue that and get back after 15 days as there is no change is required.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
