Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have neck pain and strain past few days. I am thinking of purchasing the cervical traction device. I have attached the pictures of it. I need a professional opinion on whether this device will be helpful and the most important question, is it safe to use? Please give me your opinion on this.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for writing in, and I understand your concern. I have seen this device and other models are also available in the market (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). The most important thing about this device that it is perfect for people suffering from cervical pain. It is compatible and easy to use. Your neck should be appropriately placed on the massager cushion, as the device vibrates and presses the soft tissues and muscles on the cervical region, if you place your neck in an improper position you might get little pressure on the shoulder. Other than that, it is safe and easy to use. You can purchase it. Also, I suggest you not use it for more than 10 minutes for a week initially. You can adjust it by yourself or take it to a physiotherapist nearby for proper adjustment according to sleep posture.

Regards.
