Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

There is a tight feeling below my ribs on my right side. Sometimes, a little painful but other than that I am feeling very well.

Answered by Dr. Pooja Pardhi

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your query and can understand your health concern. The tightness could be due to gaseous problem or disease of the organs present in that area like liver, gallbladder or ascending colon. Sometimes, liver pathology can cause such symptoms. In my opinion, you should consult a physician and get your check up done. You may need an ultrasound of the abdomen and liver function test. Avoid oily, spicy food. Drink a lot of water. Avoid tea and coffee. Include more fibers in your diet like salads, green leafy vegetables, whole grains.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
