Chiari Malformation

It is a condition in which brain tissue extends downwards into the spinal canal. It is due to an abnormally small skull or misshapen and is usually seen at birth. Clinically patients may have difficulty swallowing and pain. Monitoring the patient and surgical intervention whenever necessary are the treatment options available.
