Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

A doctor suggested using a Chlorhexidine mouthwash, but I unknowingly swallowed it. I am worried about what will happen now, and I do not know what should I do now. Will I have any serious problems after swallowing the mouthwash? I am 25 years old, and I think I have swallowed a minimal amount of mouthwash. Will I die?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There is nothing to worry about because you swallowed a minimal amount of mouth wash, and it will not cause any discomfort. In case you have any discomfort, I suggest you consult a general surgeon. I suggest you take a half-cup of mouth wash, mix it with drinking water and gargle it. Use it at night, and avoid overusing the mouthwash. Certain people might develop stains after overusing the mouthwash.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
