Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am taking tablet Amitriptyline 100 mg, tablet Fexofenadine, tablet Dexamethasone, and tablet Montelukast 10 mg but do not get sleep. I took X-ray, CT (computed tomography) scan, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), endoscopy, and colonoscopy. Please help.

Hi,

Weelcome to icliniq.com.

At the age of 35 years, you have an unhealthy lifestyle, it is very early to have kidney related issues. From the reports attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), you have high cholesterol and creatinine level is in the upper limit.

I suggest you the following;

1. Limit your diet and avoid cheese, butter, ghee, sweets, carbohydrates, energy drinks, protein powder, and juices.

2. Walk for 30 minutes daily.

3. Check your TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) level.

4. Drink 10 glasses of water everyday.

5. Avoid caffeine and drink decaffienated tea or coffee.

What is the reason for taking tablet Amitriptyline? Is it for psycological reasons or insomnia?

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
