Chronic Maxillary Sinusitis

Chronic maxillary sinusitis occurs when the spaces inside the head and nose get inflamed and swollen for more than three months. It causes difficulty in mucus drainage and makes the nose stuffy. It is often caused due to allergies, deviated nasal septum, and respiratory tract infections. The common symptoms are postnasal discharge, nasal inflammation, decreased sense of taste and smell, sore throat, and cough. Using topical nasal decongestants helps to manage it.
