Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I suffer from a cold, a bad cough, and my body is paining. Kindly suggest some medications.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You could probably have viral influenza infection or upper respiratory tract infection. For that, symptomatic management is done. You can be prescribed decongestants like Phenylephrine or Levocetirizine for five days. It is also advisable to take vitamin C 500 mg twice a day for five days. Do saltwater gargle and steam inhalation with lukewarm water. Drink more water. Avoid intake of excess spicy foods for a few days. Take one teaspoon of turmeric powder with milk daily for a few days. If there is no improvement, then CBC (complete blood count) should be done and a detailed chest evaluation needs to be done. I hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
