Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 39 years old, female, 5'4", 120 lbs. Healthy, no illnesses to note. Curious if CBC values are anything of worry as some have declined although in normal range over the past four years.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You have got very good reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Your Hb,TLC,TPC counts are in normal range. In addition, you have got a very good lipid profile with good cholesterol HDL being high and bad one LDL being low.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Is there any cause for concern regarding declining WBC, neutrophils and platelets or are these perhaps normal results and differences based on lab technique, etc.? Just curious about a trend.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

CBC values do not come the same every time. It can fluctuate slightly above or below. CBC values tell us about your blood components like Hb levels which are absolutely normal, above 12 is fine and mild fluctuation is equally acceptable. As like WBC has a wide range approximately between 4 to 10 K, and it is also affected by acute conditions like a cough, fever or some inflammation but yours is in normal range despite some fluctuation but individual components like lymphocytes, neutrophils. They all are in normal range. So again we need not to worry. In short, I could just say those fluctuations are normal and you have got a very good report.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
