Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had giant papillary conjunctivitis in my eyes for the past three months. I have consulted many doctors. But it did not improve. So I am using Betamethasone and Bepreve eye drops. How long will my eyes take to recover?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Giant papillary conjunctivitis occurs due to an allergy or contact lenses. It might take six months to one year to cure with treatment. If you are using contact lenses, please stop using them. Avoid Betamethasone eye drops. I suggest (consult with a specialist doctor, talk with him or her and take medicines with their consent) Fluorometholone eye drops four times a day for a week, reduce it to thrice daily in the next week, followed by twice daily for a week and once daily for a week. It will show a better result. Follow up after two weeks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
