Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 22 years old. I am concerned about the things happening in my stomach. It got started with mild constipation. After that, I started to notice some discomfort on the left side of the abdomen. This increased my curiosity and searched the condition online. This was a huge mistake done by me. The searched symptoms always led to cancer. After that, I checked my discomfort by consulting a doctor after two days. They did a blood test, urine test, and three X-rays. The results came back normal and they diagnosed a condition of stomach spasm in me.

The doctor prescribed me Ibuprofen 600 mg and Cyclobenzaprine 10 mg. Before an hour, I went to the bathroom and I was able to pass stools easily. But I noticed my stool with a little bit of white substance on it. It made me scared and I searched online again. I do not have a family history of colon or rectal cancer. My stools are normal. While having constipation, my stool seems to be hard and they were small. After that, my stools became normal with normal coloring. I do not have rectal bleeding. I have slight pressure in the lower left side of the stomach with swelling. Please give your opinion.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You are suffering from constipation. You have this problem due to diet and lifestyle. Try to increase your fluid intake, fiber intake, probiotics, and take gentle laxatives at bedtime. As you do not have these symptoms often, then you do not have a chance to have cancer. If you become fine after following these instructions, then it is due to constipation alone and not cancer. Mucus occurs due to laceration of the rectal area due to passing hard stools. Try to soften the stool and you can pass stools easily.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
