Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a surgical abortion two months ago. I got my first post-abortion period last month, and it lasted for two weeks. It was heavy, and I took Methylergometrine drops for three days, and the bleeding stopped after two weeks. Post that, I had unprotected sex after two days, but he did not cum inside me. But we had sex again after ten days, and I took the Plan B pill. I was too scared so, I took one more Plan B pill two days later, and now my period is late. The current cycle day is 32. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.

It is normal for your period to be delayed or irregular after an abortion. Additionally, taking emergency contraception like Plan B (Levonorgestrel) can also affect your menstrual cycle. It is important to note that Plan B is not meant to be used as a regular form of contraception, and taking it twice in such a short period of time can also have an impact on your menstrual cycle. However, to be sure that you are not pregnant, I would suggest taking a pregnancy test.

Hope this helps.

Do message me for further queries.

Regards.
