I am 21 years old.
I am on hypertension medication (Irbesartan Hydrochlorothiazide 150 mg/12.5 mg).
My cardiologist suggested doing a CT scan for my heart, and the report says that I have atherosclerosis in one of my coronary arteries. So he prescribed me Aspirin after that.
Because of financial constraints, I cannot continue with my hypertension medication. However, I am thinking of replacing it with green tea as it has L- theanine content which may help in lowering my blood pressure. Will that help at least a little bit until I can afford the medications?

Some of the non-pharmacological measures to control blood pressure are,
Measure blood pressure while you are in a relaxed state. Before measuring blood pressure,
Repeat the measurement after five minutes. Then check blood pressure in the other arm and repeat after five minutes. Take at least two or more readings, and the average will be the correct measurement. The arm which shows higher reading is your blood pressure.
