Hi doctor,
I suffer from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and I come across symptoms such as breathing difficulty, high blood pressure, tiredness, high heart rate, and inability to walk as I become tired after that. In addition, I have been suffering from allergic rhinitis since childhood. For the past 20 years, I have been suffering from asthma, and I have been taking tablet Salbutamol and an inhaler Foracort 200 mcg. Then I did not take medicine for a few days. Now I am diagnosed with COPD by my physician. Am I in trouble? Will I survive, and what are the possibilities? Kindly suggest me some preventive measures and medicines.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for consulting us on icliniq.com. I can understand your concern. All these symptoms are due to cardiac side effects of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). I suggest you to consult a cardiologist and get a clinical examination, blood pressure monitoring, ECG (electrocardiogram), and echocardiography done.
I will be happy to help you further. I wish you good health.
