Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am an 18 year old, and I have corn on my heel. I used corn caps, but it did not help. Could you suggest some other treatments?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Corn is a collection of dead skin cells with a hard center. You can try the following home remedies for corn removal:

  1. Dip your feet in lukewarm water for 10 to 15 minutes and then try to remove the corn with the help of a pumice stone or skin file. You will need to do this several times to remove the corn.
  2. You could use a corn cap again.
  3. The main cause for the formation of corn is constant friction of the sole, so ensure you wear comfortable shoes.
  4. If in a few days, you do not get relief, then do consult a general surgeon to get it excised.

Review after three weeks. I hope this helps. Thank you.
