Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Can I use N95 masks? Now, COVID-19 is also reduced, and most of us are vaccinated. Is it safe for me and others surrounding me if I wear N95 masks? Also, will wearing that mask prevent the spread if I have regular flu?

Kindly suggest me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The COVID-19 pandemic is not officially over. Therefore, I suggest you kindly wear a mask and practice social distancing, handwashing, and sanitization as per the official COVID-19 protocol. The COVID-19 vaccine prevents severe infection but does not preclude the possibility of contracting the infection. So, wearing a mask is important. Also, wearing an N95 mask could prevent you from transmitting COVID-19 and any other contagious infection spread by respiratory droplets, including influenza and the common cold.

I hope this has helped you.
