Patient's Query

Hello,

I am a 35-year-old male with a height of 5.68 feet and a weight of 163.14 Ibs. I am tested COVID positive today. I had a fever, shivering, body pain, and throat infection for two days. I have taken Fevadol 500 mg tablet. I do not have a fever now. However, I am facing a chest infection, throat infection with dull pain, and coughing. I assume I am facing a mild breathing issue too. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

You should isolate yourself as you have tested COVID-19 positive.

Follow the isolation guidelines as per the local health advisory.

Please answer a few questions-

1. Do you still have a cough? If yes, is it dry or wet?

2. Any relapse of fever?

3. Have you measured oxygen saturation in your blood (SpO2)?

4. Do you have any chest pain or difficulty breathing?

5. What medicines are you taking?

6. Do you have any chronic medical history of diabetes, hypertension, etc.?

I have these suggestions for you-

1. You can take a tablet Paracetamol 500 mg twice or thrice daily for fever and body ache.

2. You must do lukewarm water gargles two to three times a day for throat pain.

3. You must take adequate rest.

4. You must be in a well-ventilated room and mask up yourself.

5. You must check body temperature at least three times a day.

6. Measure SpO2 saturation at rest and after six minutes of walking.

Please follow up with answers to the above questions to guide you better.

Thanks.
