Hi doctor,
I am a 53-year-old male. My height is 5 feet 11 inches. My weight is 70 kg. I have fever and body pain for a week. I have started tablet Azithromycin 500 mg for three days, Ivermectin 12 mg for five days, Paracetamol (if needed), Montair-LC once daily for five days, Doxycycline (started after Azithromycin), Multivitamin, and Vitamin C. I gave the sample two days after my symptoms, and after two more days, I tested positive for COVID-19. Since yesterday, along with a high fever (103 to 104 degrees), I experience loss of appetite, nausea, loose motion (not very frequent), body pain, extreme fatigue, headache, and cough. Please help.

Thanks for the query. I can understand your concern. As you are COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) positive, these associated complications or consequences are common. Do not worry. Please follow your doctor's prescription and take the medications routinely. As you have fever and cough with breathing problems, you should undergo HRCT (high-resolution computed tomography) of the chest to exclude COVID-19 pneumonia. If COVID-19 pneumonia is detected, you should start antiviral medications to reduce the viral load. For your breathing difficulties, you can start taking Dexamethasone 4 mg twice daily after food for ten days. Monitor your oxygen saturation level by pulse oximeter routinely. If your oxygen saturation level declines below 93 percent, you should get yourself admitted to a hospital for oxygen inhalation therapy. Take care. Let me know if I can assist you further.
