Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been suffering from COVID-19 for the last five days. But for two days, I am having some blister or ulcer or something on my penis near the urethra, and I am attaching a picture for reference. It erupted without any sexual contact with anyone for at least one and a half months. I have a little bit of pain, and the pain increases with a touch. I usually get herpes virus-like lesions on the sides of my lips. My queries are is it herpes that erupts when immunity is low? What cream or lotion can I take? Already I am taking a lot of medicines for COVID-19, which include Dexamethasone, Azithromycin, Vitamin C, Fabiflu, Zinc and Alex syrup. Please suggest to me what I can do about this problem. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Before ulcer formation, were there a group of yellow-colored blisters? Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply. No, I do not think so, doctor. There is some kind of blister or pimple you can see in the picture. Is it really an ulcer? What can cause it? Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It may be due to a condition called fixed drug eruption, caused by the intake of medicines like antibiotics, Paracetamol, and pain killers. I suggest you the following measures for the lesion. Consult with specialists, talk to them and take the medications with their consent. You can apply cream Fucidin-H (Hydrocortisone Fusidic Acid) over the skin lesion twice daily for four days. Wash your hands before and after application. Follow up after four days. You should keep a close eye to detect any new changes in the lesions. If any lesions like erosions occur in the oral cavity, eye involvement, or if the lesions over the genital area increase in size, then review as soon as possible or contact your physician (since you are COVID-19 positive, these are important medications) and replacement of the offending drug for alternative medicines can be done by your treating physician. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you for the response, doctor.

What do you mean by the following? If any erosion type occurs in the oral cavity, eye involvement? Do you mean anything in the eye or mouth? Do you mean an ulcer in the eye? Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I mean oral cavity involvement like blisters or ulceration. Any kind of inflammation inside the eye, conjunctivitis or lid margin ulceration should be reported. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
