Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a fall and hit my tooth hard. Later I evaluated my teeth and noticed that two of them had horizontal crack lines. How can I fix them?

Kindly help.

Answered by Dr. Naveen Thomas

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. There is the option to get tooth-colored composite material to apply over the area after grinding down the cracked lines. If the cracks are not visible easily then it is better to leave it like it. No need for crowns at this point. As the fall was hard, there is a high chance of teeth becoming non-vital in a few years. The tooth may become more yellowish or brownish in the future. It may need root canal treatment in the future.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
