Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Please advice ayurvedic treatment for a pimple or cyst under frenulum.

Answered by Dr. Alka

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query. See, a pimple and a cyst are two different things. Pimple is a kind of comedo having a bumpy appearance. It is usually painful and pus may or may not be present. A cyst is an encapsulated growth that can be filled with water or fluid. It can grow slowly and is usually non-cancerous. Pain is sometimes present. There are fewer chances of a pimple under the frenulum in the mouth. More chances of cysts are there. Cyst usually requires surgical management. It can be ruled out with the help of clinical examination only. So ideally you should visit a nearby physician so that he can examine you and treat you properly. But if you are sure that it is a pimple you can take the following treatment:

  1. Tablet Kaishore guggul (Gokshuru, Amruta, Guduchi, Tryushana) two tablets two times a day with water after food for 10 days. Do not swallow these tablets. First, chew them and then take it with water.
  2. Tablet Arogyvardhini vati (Shuddha Parada, Shuddha Gandhak, Loha Bhasma) two tablets two times a day with water after food for 10 days.
  3. Chandanasava (Sandalwood, Sugandhbala, Nilophar, Gambhari) two teaspoons two times a day with water after food for 10 days.

Take it for 10 days and consult me after ten days regarding improvement and for further management or you can consult a nearby physician. But, I still recommend you visit a physician to make sure whether it is a cyst or a pimple.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I do not know whether it is a pimple or a cyst and it is under frenulum of the penis. I have shown it to allopathic doctors who want me to remove it through a laser, etc., but it will be painful. Medicines have not worked. It has been there for over a year and fluctuates in size. I also want to know the reason for its existence.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It will be a cyst. That is why your physician wants to remove it. It is usually caused by the clogging of sebaceous glands or any infection. There are very fewer chances that it can be removed with the help of medicine. But still, you can try this ayurvedic management for one month:

  1. Tablet Kanchnaar guggul (Gokshuru, Amruta, Guduchi, Tryushana) two tablets two times a day with water after food. Do not swallow these tablets. Chew them and then take it with water.
  2. Capsule Haridra (Turmeric and Curcuma Longa) two capsules two times a day with water after food for one month.

Take it for one month and consult me after one month regarding improvement or you can consult a nearby ayurvedic physician if you want to.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
