Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am suffering from bad dandruff. I have been having this issue for four years now. I wanted to ask whether shaving my head completely will reduce the amount of dandruff. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

  1. With your descriptions, it seems you have dandruff.
  2. It is characterized by a non-inflammatory increase in the scaling of the scalp.
  3. Dandruff can range no trace of scaling to massive scaling.
  4. It is best to use 2 % Ketoconazole shampoo twice a week; method of application, first of all, wet your scalp apply shampoo, leave it for five to ten minutes then take a bath.
  5. Do not apply any kind of hair oil, which is a food for dandruff. You can use conditioners in place of this.

I hope you find it helpful.

Thank you.
